Dominique Middleton joined BBC Sport in 2011, when the department relocated to Salford from London.
She has recently changed jobs to become the Digital Lead for Cricket, with a responsibility to shape the digital output and help deliver a continuity of approach and editorial direction across the live text commentaries, clips, highlights, social media and bespoke video features.
Before moving into this editorial role, Dominique was one of 4 Heads of Production in BBC Sport, responsible for the financial, production and business management for Digital and Radio Sport, Cricket and Olympic Sports.
A key part of the role was to devise a production model for Cricket in 2020 and beyond, which sees the return of cricket programming to BBC linear TV in addition to its long-standing radio and digital coverage of the sport. The production of new programme strands and the delivery of a completely new sport event, The Hundred, has enabled the team to consider new ways of working; whilst ensuring the creative production teams have the time and resources necessary to deliver content that will amaze and delight audiences.
Dominique is a member of BBC Sport’s Sustainability Steering Group which is tasked to devise and deliver the department’s Sustainability Strategy as part of the wider BBC’s Greener Broadcasting strategy.
Dominique has worked in Broadcasting for over 30 years and has been a Producer of Education Programmes, Line Producer on drama series and PM then Head of Production with Scottish Independent, Wark Clements & Co.
