Madeleine Orr is the Founder and Co-Director of the Sport Ecology Group and an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at SUNY Cortland. Madeleine studies the impacts of climate change on the sport sector, and her research has been published in Sport Management Review, the Journal of Sport Management, Managing Sport & Leisure, and Event Management, among others. Madeleine previously worked in tourism operations in the ski industry, sold and activated sponsorship in the running events industry, and worked on travel and tourism special projects at the Rio 2016 Olympics. She earned her PhD in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota and holds Masters degrees in Natural Resource Science (University of Minnesota) and International Event Management (University of Brighton).
