Madeleine Orr is the Founder and Co-Director of the Sport Ecology Group and a PhD candidate in Sport Management at the University of Minnesota. Madeleine studies the impacts of climate change on the sport sector, and her research has been published in Sport Management Review, the Journal of Sport Management, Managing Sport & Leisure, and Event Management, among others. Madeleine splits her time between teaching in the Sport Management Department at SUNY Cortland and studying in the Twin Cities. Prior to beginning her doctoral program, Madeleine worked in tourism operations in the ski industry, sold and activated sponsorship in the racing industry, and worked in travel and tourism at the Rio 2016 Olympics. She holds Masters degrees in Natural Resource Science (University of Minnesota) and International Event Management (University of Brighton), and has lived in Canada, the U.S., France and England.
