Aileen McManamon is the Founder and Managing Partner of 5T Sports Group, a global sports management firm and certified B Corp. 5T focuses on creating triple bottom line returns for professional sports leagues, teams and major events. From “back-of-house” operations innovation to “front-of-house” fan engagement campaigns. 5T also works with environmentally and socially responsible brands to bring their values forward through their sports partnerships.
Her start in the auto industry set the wheels in motion for a career crafting top-performing partnerships between brands and sports properties. Her field of play has included Major League Baseball,the NFL,Winter Olympic Games,Tour de France,Giro d’Italia,FIFA Women’s World Cup and Major League Soccer. On the sponsor side, she has worked with global brands including FIAT, Alfa Romeo, General Motors, MerecedesBenz, Molson, EA Sports, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard.
Aileen is passionate about leveraging sports for sustainable development and was recognized by the UN Global Compact Network for 5T’s leadership in championing the UN Global Goals. She was a contributing author of the UNFCCC’s Sport for Climate Action Initiative. Aileen frequently guest lectures at numerous sport management programs throughout the U.S and Canada on sustainable sports practices and partnerships.
Aileen holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from Kent State (Ohio) and a Master’s of International Business from the University of South Carolina that led her to work in Germany, Italy, the US and now Canada. She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and lives in Vancouver, BC with her husband and 2 sons. She can frequently be found on the ball diamond, the ski slope or her road bike.
