Forever Green: Forever Green participates in the Sport Positive Summit 2024
This year, we have had the honour of being present at the Sport Positive Summit, the most important global forum on sustainability in sport, which was held in London with the support of the International Olympic Committee and the UN.
This event brings together entities from all over the world committed to the fight against climate change, and for us it has been a great opportunity both to share our experiences through Forever Green and to have been nominated for the Sport Positive Awards ’24.
Our manager of the Real Betis Balompié Foundation, Rafael Muela, represented the club participating in the round table “Finding Efficiencies with Sustainable and Responsible Procurement”, where we discussed how to apply sustainable and responsible practices in our operations. The possibility of exchanging ideas with other organizations was an enriching experience, which allowed us to learn from initiatives that also seek to reduce the environmental impact of sport.

In addition, as part of the European Free Kicks project – which promotes the circular economy and sustainability in football – we participated in a round table with all the members of the project. Being surrounded by renowned organizations such as FIFA, the Olympic Committee, and the NBA reminds us of the importance and positive impact of working together to address the global challenges of climate change.
The Forever Green Matches and Drought Campaign was nominated for the Sports Positive Awards 2024 in the “Campaign of the Year” category, a recognition that fills us with pride. Our sincere congratulations to “The Green Gooners Cup” winners of the Best Campaign award at the Sport Positive Awards ’24. The collaboration between Ball Corporation and Arsenal F.C managed to involve thousands of fans in key actions such as recycling, meat reduction and sustainable mobility, achieving extraordinary results in reach and participation.

We continue to learn and grow. These events help us to reaffirm our focus and mission, and to continue moving forward, always with the hope of being able to contribute, together with all those who share this cause, to a greener and more responsible future with the power of sport.
We continue to join forces for a better planet!
