Nick Oldridge is a climate communicator and co-founder of the National Emergency Briefing (NEB). Originally from a business background, he now focuses on finding new ways to make climate science understandable, engaging and difficult to ignore. He co-founded Climate Science Breakthrough, which brings together scientists and creative communicators to reach audiences beyond the traditional climate conversation.
In 2025, Nick and his brother Simon created the National Emergency Briefing, bringing together ten leading UK experts and more than 1,200 politicians and leaders at Westminster Central Hall for an unprecedented, non-partisan briefing on the interconnected risks the UK faces from the climate and nature crisis.
That event has since grown into a nationwide public engagement campaign, taking the evidence into communities across the country and building growing parliamentary support for a prime-time televised emergency briefing to the nation, introduced by the Prime Minister and delivered by trusted independent experts.
