Maël Besson is an expert in the ecological transition of sport and the founder of Sport 1.5, an agency working with national and international federations, public authorities, clubs, equipment manufacturers and athletes on their environmental strategies. He previously headed the “Sport and Sustainable Development” office at the French Ministry of Sports and led the Sport programme at WWF France. His work includes France’s National Plan for the Adaptation of Sport to Climate Change, as well as climate risk studies and adaptation plans for World Rugby and the French Football Federation (FFF).
