Danielle Doza is the Vice President of Sustainability and Environmental Services for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rock Entertainment Group, the first senior level sustainability position in the NBA. At the Cavs, Danielle works across the company on sustainable operations and reporting, supporting the marketing and communications teams, and integrating sustainability into partnership development. Danielle was recently recognized by Sports Business Journal as “One to Watch” for women in sports and sustainability.
Prior to joining the Cavs, Danielle was a corporate sustainability consultant, as the co-founder of Venture Forward Strategies, where she helped manufacturing and consumer product companies with sustainability strategy development, reporting, and project-based challenges. This work included helping clients better avoid sending waste to landfill in operations, identifying alternative packaging and product material options, engaging employees on sustainability, developing appropriate responses for customer and stakeholder communication, and reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and other social and environmental impacts.
Danielle also co-found a networking group for women in sustainability in Northeast Ohio that now has nearly 250 women. Additionally, she is involved with a thrice yearly event called Eco Meet CLE that brings together the broader Cleveland sustainability community to spark connections, hear about initiatives going on in the region, and encourage more collaboration across sectors.
