Frédéric Garrandes is the Scientific manager of the Health and Science Department at World Athletics. He holds a Ph.D in Sports and Exercise Sciences, with a thesis focused on neuromuscular fatigue in endurance and power athletes. Frédéric worked as a clinical research associate at the Monaco Institute for Sports Medicine for 12 years and taught at the Sport Science School of Nice Côte d’Azur University. At World Athletics, he oversees medical services at events, promotes sports science research, and contributes to training healthcare professionals in endurance medicine.
