In the pool, I was a 2x Michigan D3 Team State Champion and 3x Michigan D3 Team State Champion Runner-Up. Moreover, I was selected 4x for All-State recognition. In college, I was a D3 NCAA Qualifier and a D1 varsity letter recipient at Rutgers University. Throughout my time as Rutgers, I earned recognition as an Academic BIG10 Distinguished Scholar and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the U.S. national student athlete honor society.
Throughout by undergraduate experience, I joined EcoAthletes which allowed me to share my passion for environmental advocacy while using my sport as a platform. During such, I won the Rutgers University School of Communication and Information’s 2023 public speaking contest which featured my topic on plastic reduction on college campuses. Moreover, I was one of 4 athletes who spoke to our administration about introducing climate initiatives on campus, specifically through athletics, and was featured on an athelte panel for the Acting Green Forum.
In recent years, I have worked as a sustainability intern in the automotive sector, lived onsite in West Yellowstone, Montana as an intern to monitor wild buffalo population and explore tribal relations in Yellowstone National Park, and participated in a research project that studies conservation institutions, specifically for migratory shorebirds. In the fall of 2025, I will be a Masters of Science candidate for Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance at the University of Oxford.
