Mikayla Byfield (she/her/hers) is a sustainability strategist and environmental justice advocate.
With an academic research background in the intersection of Sports and Environmental Justice as well as Corporate Sustainability Management expertise, she believes that the journey towards improving our planet and businesses’ operations can be synonymous with equitable environmental and socioeconomic support of the underserved communities most impacted by climate change. Additionally, she has worked for various organizations across industries to integrate sustainability into business strategies with a community-first and people-centered approach, including Lyft and Etsy. Tech companies have often been seen as leading businesses in championing sustainability.
However, Mikayla hopes to support sports organizations to push progress beyond any other industry, on behalf of people and the planet, leveraging sports’ fandom and global reach.
