Since then, she has established herself as one of the leading talents in women’s cricket, earning recognition for her contributions on the international stage and in franchise competitions around the world. Alongside her sporting achievements, Maia is a passionate advocate for sustainability. Through her platform in sport, she is committed to championing positive environmental change, inspiring others to make more conscious choices and demonstrating how individuals and communities can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Lucy Hunt is a marine biologist with over 20 years of experience in ocean impact and literacy. As Ocean Impact Director for The Ocean Race, she leads the strategic direction of its core ocean initiatives—encompassing Summits, Learning, Science, and purposeful partnerships—utilizing the Race’s global sporting platform to drive tangible action, convene changemakers, and help restore society’s relationship with the ocean. Lucy and her team have created globally award-winning educational programmes. She has been shortlisted for the PwC IMAGE Business Woman of the Year Sustainability Champion award, recognised as an Ocean Hero, and is a Mission Blue Hope Spot Champion for SW Ireland where she founded Sea Synergy Marine Awareness, Research & Activity Centre over 10 years ago.

Tracey Herald is ESG Lead at giffgaff, where she leads the company’s sustainability strategy and responsible business agenda. She believes businesses have a unique opportunity to create positive change, balancing value for people, communities, the planet and shareholders alike. Passionate about turning ambition into action, Tracey builds partnerships and programmes that address challenges such as digital inclusion, financial resilience and climate action. She is committed to delivering meaningful, measurable impact that helps create a fairer and more sustainable future.

Jess Dunning is a Community Renewables Manager at Younity, supporting community generators with a route-to-market. She has worked in Community Energy for several years with roles across energy supply, project development, policy, membership and advocacy. Jess is a non-executive director of Westmill Wind Farm Co-Operative and will be a non-executive director of Pledgeball’s community energy society.

Dave is a climate communications expert and podcaster. He works for the journalists and content creators, the Local Storytelling Exchange, and has two decades of experience in understanding and advising on how best to talk with just about anyone about the state of the planet. He’s the host of Your Brain on Climate, a podcast about how human brains do (and don’t) deal with the climate crisis.

As part of CISL’s senior leadership team Eliot leads CISL’s work to convene collaborations, develop new insight and engage with policy to unlock systemic change.

He is responsible for teams supporting CISL’s Corporate Leaders Groups, which bring businesses together to positively engage with EU and UK policy makers; CISL’s Centre for Sustainable Finance, which brings banks, insurers and investors together to shift the financial system, CISL’s role in the Aviation Impact Accelerator and CISL’s research work including The King’s Global Sustainability Fellowship Programme.

Eliot’s work has a strong focus on climate change, but he also helps drive action on nature, the circular economy, plastics and issues around the social and justice implications of economic change. He represents the Corporate Leaders Group on the board of the We Mean Business Coalition and has been responsible for CISL work that has included collaborations with the World Bank, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the UNFCCC, a number of European governments and a wide range of senior business stakeholders. He regularly advises business and government and has sat, for example, on the UK government’s BEIS Economic Recovery Taskforce on Net Zero and Treasury Net Zero Review Technology and Innovation Advisory Group.

He has over 25 years’ experience in working to unlock systemic change, including providing policy analysis around climate action for Save the Children and Christian Aid, leading Christian Aid’s UK lobbying work with parliamentarians and political parties, and working on mobilising grassroots campaigning in locations from Addis Ababa to Birmingham.

Stéphane Dezerable is a Senior Consultant in World Athletics’ Health and Science Department, focusing on air quality and heat, and part of the team behind Running for Clean Air. A biotechnology engineer by training, he began his career in healthcare and public health, then spent nine years as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Fundraising and Strategic Alliances at the FIA.

Katie is Founder and CEO of BBC Award-winning charity Pledgeball. Experts in fan engagement on climate, Pledgeball spearheads initiatives that mobilise sporting communities, from grassroots to professional levels, to create meaningful impact for climate and nature.

Emma Foster-Geering, is the new Head of ESG at the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI). Emma has spent over 15 years working in corporate sustainability all around the world. From the frontlines on major Australian infrastructure projects, to the global supply chains of luxury and fast fashion giants Burberry and Primark, to sitting on the Executive Board as Chief Sustainability Officer at Vivobarefoot – Emma has built a career defined by turning bold sustainability ambition into hard business results.
