Claire Poole is Founder and CEO of the Sport Positive Summit, and has spent decades in London and New York working on global communications campaigns and large-scale events production and management within sustainability, climate change and sport. She was a consultant for UNFCCC at the outset of its exploration into what is now the Sports for Climate Action Framework, and was referenced in 2017 as ‘doing more than anyone alive to mobilize convocations for sustainability advocates throughout the sport world.’
She is also Founder of ClearBright Consulting, an organisation that has supported organisations including UN Environment, Climate Action, Earth Security Group, The Telegraph, Earth on Board, SportsPro, British Association of Sustainable Sport (BASIS) and more. Her work and opinions have been referenced in the Guardian, SportsBusiness Journal, IUCN business blog and UN Environment’s ‘Ask the Expert’, amongst others, she regularly speaks at industry events.
Claire is also a Trustee and Board Secretary of UKHarvest, a food rescue and education charity and was formerly a Non-Executive Director of Sandbag, a not-for-profit think tank that advocates for climate policies. She is a mentor for the Aspire Foundation, whose goal is to make a difference to 1 billion women by 2020.
