Seán McCabe leads climate justice initiatives through the platform of football, using the global reach of the game to drive inclusive, cooperative solutions to social and environmental challenges. At Bohemian Football Club, he has built a team dedicated to developing community wealth building climate actions that can be scaled internationally through football’s networks. With over 18 years’ experience across grassroots and global arenas, Seán has helped shape multilateral climate agreements with the Mary Robinson Foundation, strengthen environmental protections with the Sierra Leone EPA, and advance children’s environmental rights with UNICEF and the UNCRC. As the architect of The People’s Transition, developed with TASC and FEPS, he has championed community-led strategies that position climate action as a driver of equity, dignity, and development.

Theo Keeping
Theodore Keeping is a Climate Scientist who works for World Weather Attribution at Imperial College London.
He researches how highly impactful extreme weather is changing in severity and regularity in response to climate change with a focus on wildfires. Keeping’s work also investigates how intensifying extreme weather events are impacting human health, for example due to heat waves or smoke from wildfires.
Rodrigo Lois
Rodrigo Lois is a sports journalist from media group Globo (Brazil). He works as reporter and TV producer, specialised in international football. Rodrigo runs a section on the show “Redação”, from TV channel “sportv”, called “Clima em Jogo” (Climate in game). This section is about how sports, specially football, relates to climate change.
Rodrigo Lois has more than 15 years of experience covering the sports industry, mainly football. He was a TV correspondent in Berlin in 2014, for “sportv”. He has covered FIFA World Cups, Olympic Games and other sports great events. The journalist also did articles and lives transmitions about Chapecoense’s air tragedy, Covid-19 pandemic and burnings at Pantanal.
Chris Ogborne
Having started his career in 2021 working alongside Southampton Football Club, Chris specialised in Scope 3 reporting and reduction strategies, focusing on away travel across multiple teams, a first for the club as part of its pioneering Halo Effect sustainability strategy, launched just months earlier. This work significantly advanced the club’s understanding of its carbon footprint and transition plans as part of its net zero goals. Following this, Chris transitioned into the golfing sector with the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf, where he supported the sustainability journey of over 2,000 member clubs toward GEO Certification, while also strengthening relationships with national governing bodies. Today, Chris is the first-ever site-based Food and Beverage Sustainability Manager at a Premier League football club, working for Levy UK. In this role, he drives sustainability across stadium operations, aligning with the club’s decarbonisation and broader sustainability goals. His work spans a wide range of events hosted at the stadium, including football matches, NFL games, and concerts.
Rupert Robinson
Rupert Robinson is a global finance and sustainability leader with over 30 years’ experience shaping capital, real assets, and climate-aligned investment strategies. He has held senior roles at Norges Bank Investment Management, the sovereign wealth fund of Norway, RSBGi, a German environmental fund, and KPMG, where he led or advised on landmark projects including London’s Regent Street regeneration, the Olympics, World Games, Manchester City’s Commonwealth Games, and FC Barcelona’s sustainable finance program. He also helped structure one of the first African environmental infrastructure funds to mobilise blended capital into climate solutions. Now working as an Independent Sustainable Finance Lead, Rupert develops models that embed climate action and economic value into sport, entertainment, and infrastructure — bridging finance, strategy, and transformation to deliver solutions that are commercially sound and socially meaningful.

Fran James is co-founder and co-lead of Sustaina-Bees, an independent Brentford FC supporters’ group, founded in 2023. The group is for Brentford FC fans with knowledge, interest, and concern about environmental issues. Fran also writes the Football and Climate Change Newsletter.

Dr. Denise Ludlam
Denise Ludlam joined Sport England in 2023 as Environmental Sustainability Strategic Lead, helping to drive Sport England’s sustainability ambitions and supporting the grassroots and community sport and physical activity sector to become more environmentally sustainable.
Denise has built her career in environmental sustainability, drawing on a strong scientific background and extensive experience across the public, charity and environmental sectors. She spent several years working in the protected landscapes sector, both in the UK and across Europe, helping to conserve and enhance some of the most valued natural environments.
Prior to joining the public sector, Denise worked in the charity sector, where she managed an urban nature reserve and led initiatives that connected people with nature while promoting conservation and environmental stewardship.
With a breadth of experience spanning environmental policy, conservation, stakeholder engagement and sustainable development, Denise brings valuable expertise to the sporting system. She is passionate about helping organisations and communities reduce their environmental impact and build a more sustainable future for sport and physical activity.
Tiberio Daddi
Tiberio is Associate Professor in Sustainability Management at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, a public University located in Pisa, Italy. His research interests range from corporate environmental management to sustainable consumption and production, from Environmental performance and LCA to circular economy. He is author of more than 60 international publications and project manager of numerous international projects funded mainly by European Commission. At Sant’Anna University he coordinates the Sport Sustainability Management research area, focused on environmental sustainability activities applied in different sports like Football, Biathlon, Athletics, Floorball, Canoeing, Sailing.
