Sam Booth
Sam Booth is the Director of Sustainability for AEG Europe, a global leader in music, sport, and live entertainment. In this role, Sam is responsible for overseeing the sustainability strategies and initiatives across the business’ world-leading venues, festivals and tours, including London’s The O2 and American Express presents BST Hyde Park, as well as Berlin’s Uber Arena.
A passionate advocate for a more sustainable live industry, Sam is also the Co-Chair of National Arena Association Green Group and acting representative for the NAA on LIVE Green, the music industry green association.
Prior to joining AEG in 2023, Sam gained over 10 years’ experience working across high-profile event production and sustainability projects with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Nestle, adidas, and Pernod Ricard.
Luca Guzzabocca
Since 2014 Luca is Founder & CEO at Right Hub Società Benefit, an Italian consulting company providing to any kind of organization, regardless the industry, a wide range of sustainable management services (ESG Strategy, Sustainable Supply Chain, Social Procurement and Supplier Diversity, Work Inclusion of People with Disabilities, Carbon Footprint, Sustainable Management of Events ISO 20121, Sustainable Management of Tourism Facilities ISO 21401, Environmental Management ISO 14001, Ad-hoc Sustainable Management Framework).
Luca has been co-Founder and co-Chairman of the not-for-profit Italian organization “Acquisti & Sostenibilità”, a unique organization established in 2007 to inspire sustainable and responsible procurement, supply chain and business practices across Italian enterprises.
More than 15 years of experience in design and implementation of sustainable supply chains and more than 10 years in sustainable management of events.
A highly respected professional in his field, Luca has 30 years of procurement and supply management experience. He has served numerous national and multinational organizations in different industries, including Esa Elettronica, Gewiss, Vemer, Black & Decker Power Tools, Riello Group, GlaxoSmithKline and Gruppo Montepaschi.
His procurement activities, involving both production and non-production materials and services, have spanned several market sectors, including electronic devices; residential and industrial electrical networking products; air conditioning and heating systems; electric power tools; pharmaceuticals and banking.

Lucy Brooks
Lucy is the Head of Marketing at Travel Places – leading travel management specialists to the sports, media and entertainment industries.
The team work with some of the world’s leading athletes, teams and brands, managing travel plans for organisations such as The Football Association, the England and Wales Cricket Board and Sail GP. With a long heritage managing group travel for professional sports teams, Travel Places remains family-owned and run to this day.
Sitting on Travel Places’ sustainability management team, Lucy helps identify ways for the business to increase its positive impact on the world, its community of staff, local suppliers, and charities.
She has helped to support the business through certifications for ISO 20121:2012 standard for Sustainable Event Management as well as B Corp, with Travel Places remaining one of the only business travel companies in the UK to have successfully gained B Corp certification.
Carbon Literacy Project
The Carbon Literacy Project is a celebrated, multi-award winning, globally unique climate change project founded in Manchester. Carbon Literacy offers a flexible framework for a days’ worth of highly relevant climate change learning, and with large-scale take-up across the UK and Europe, over 70,000 learners have now been certified as Carbon Literate.
Carbon Literacy learning and certification covers the essentials of climate change, carbon footprints, how an individual can ‘do their bit’, and why it is relevant from an individual to an organisational level.
Over the past 3 years, The Carbon Literacy Project has been working more closely with a wide range of public and private sectors to create off-the-shelf Carbon Literacy Toolkits for organisations within the sector to pick up and use to train their people. The latest of these Toolkits is the Carbon Literacy Sports Kit, which was made available to sports organisations in April 2023.
Melissa Wilson
After retiring as a professional athlete in 2021, Melissa co-founded non-profit Athletes of the World with Double Olympic Champion Hannah Mills.
Athletes of the World aims to harness the power of athletes to inspire climate action. The non-profit works with athletes and sports organisations to provide climate and media training, mentoring and campaign delivery, equipping athletes to use their platforms for change. Recent projects have included supporting 135 professional footballers in urging FIFA to drop fossil fuel sponsorship and bringing together 450 Olympians in a letter calling on the IOC’s incoming President to make caring for our planet their top priority.
Emilien Gasc
Emilien Gasc is the counsellor for climate and environment at the Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom. He follows the implementation of the Brexit treaties as regards the environmental level-playing field, and liaises with UK civil servants and stakeholders. He was previously based in Brussels with the European Commission’s Secretariat General, working on delivery of the European Green Deal, and with the Environment and Employment services respectively.
Before joining the European Union institutions, Emilien was a consultant with the International Energy Agency and a policy advocate for the European federation of independent consumer organisations. Emilien comes from Brittany and is a graduate of Sciences Po Rennes and Paris in France.
